That I am able to share these adventures is due to the collective support provided by many:
- my family, for encouraging and helping me
- my friends, including my work colleagues for supporting and inspiring me, and for technical help in composing this blog
- my teachers and mentors: literary, scuba, photography and self-development
- my medical team, who have not only saved my life, but made my life worth saving
- those in the scuba industry (guides, shops, tour operators), who often work long, hard hours for minimal recognition so that a privileged few get to experience part of the world that most won't
- to the ocean, for allowing me to explore its mysteries to date unharmed. We all leave our footprint but hopefully mine was light and in the process conveyed the great beauty and wonder of the marine environment, and the importance of protecting one of the Earth's most important assets.
